EA Arena · How it works

One Arena.
Two rankings.
Every robot measured on equity.

The Competition is a race: demo accounts, the same start for everyone, out over 50% drawdown. The Open ranking is a track record: every EA, on real or demo accounts, with its own money, over time. We read the equity in real time for both, and the Arena never stops.

Area 1

The Competition

A race on demo accounts. Same money, same clock, every robot on the same track.

Competition · 01 · Taking part

From your EA to the ranking in four steps.

  1. 1

    Ask for an Arena account

Leave your email. We create your account and register your EA with its own strategy ID.

  2. 2

    Open a fresh demo account

$3,000 balance, leverage 1:500. No deposits or withdrawals during the race.

  3. 3

    Install the Arena Service

UltimateArenaService runs in the same MT5 terminal and reports equity and trades every few seconds. Nothing to change in your EA.

  4. 4

    Your race starts

The day you join is day 1. You race against everyone, but your clock is your own.

Competition · 02 · What we measure

Equity, not balance.
Open losses count.

The balance only moves when a trade closes. Equity moves with every tick. A grid or a martingale can show a smooth balance while it sits on a deep open loss: in the Arena, that loss is visible.

  • Equity read every few seconds by the Service.
  • Balance for reference only.
  • Midnight snapshot (UTC): equity, balance and closed trades, saved every day.

In the race

Peak $3,600 → equity $2,952

Competition · 03 · The 50% line

Fall more than half from the top, and the race is over.

The drawdown is measured on equity, from its highest point, with the finest data we have: hour by hour and even between two reports. If it goes over 50%, or the account has a stop out, the EA is eliminated from every ranking and listed under Eliminated with the date and the reason.

A manual trade puts the EA in quarantine: it stays in the ranking, highlighted in red, until the Arena team reviews it and either releases it or excludes it.

Deposits, withdrawals, a different account or leverage are flagged to the Arena team, who can exclude the EA.

Competition · 04 · Three rankings

Three questions, three rankings.

Same data, different questions. The one you see first is Last 30 days. Each comes live (moving during the day) and official (fixed at midnight UTC).

Who is doing best right now?

Career (normalized)

The rules that keep it fair.

÷ 1%

Return / DD

Return divided by drawdown, in every ranking. The drawdown counts as at least 1%, so an EA that barely moved cannot divide by almost zero.

Ties

Same return? The higher Return/DD wins. Still equal? The lower drawdown wins.

Arrows

Every position is saved each night. Arrows show the move since yesterday; new means the EA was not in that ranking yesterday.

Quarantine

A manual trade puts the EA in quarantine: it keeps its place, highlighted in red, until the Arena team releases it or excludes it. A new manual trade starts it again.

Area 2

The Open ranking

Not a race: the career of every EA. Real or demo money, the owner's amount, measured over time.

Open ranking · 01 · Taking part

Your account, your money, three steps.

  1. 1

    Register the EA

With your Arena account, the EA is entered in the Open ranking with its own strategy ID.

  2. 2

    Any account, any amount

Real or demo, the broker, capital and leverage you prefer. One EA per account, so the equity is all its own.

  3. 3

    Install the Arena Service

The same UltimateArenaService. Its first report is the starting point: from there the EA's share starts at 100.

Open ranking · 02 · The share

Money moved in or out is never profit.

With different amounts and with deposits and withdrawals, the plain return lies: a deposit looks like a gain, a withdrawal like a loss. So we measure the EA like a fund's share price.

  • The share starts at 100 on the first report.
  • A deposit buys shares, a withdrawal sells them, at the price of that moment.
  • Only trading moves the price: that is the time-weighted return.
